We've done two of these already and they keep getting bigger and wilder! What do you expect when you put the hardest parting band in front of the hardest parting crowd??!!

 Deepset joins Nicko for 3 McBrain Damage shows in December to bring a merry metal X-mas to Florida! These shows are a way for Nicko to see the fans up close and personal and to bring a little Maiden to all the poor Floridians who never get to see them! Any fan of Iron Maiden, Deepset or of metal should come to the show nearest them and meet the "Rhythm of the Beast" himself!
 New - 11-07-05 - FUCK YOU WILMA!!! This was my neighbors van two houses down. The tree was so big the top branches were in my driveway. Most things are back to normal and so is Deepset. We go back into the studio this week to get this damn CD done already!!

 New - 09-20-05 - This was our stage setup for the Judas Priest / Queensryche show 2005. Needless to say this was a huge show for us so we brought most of our equipment and kicked ass! Thanks to Britt and Larry at Sound Advice for getting us the show. Judas Priest was incredible that night.

 New - 09-19-05 - Our new track Smoking Gun is finally finished and can be downloaded at our Music page. You'd think for a band who owns a fucking studio we'd get shit done quicker!!! Anyway, we're very happy with the song and the direction it's put our upcoming CD. When (if) we get back from Mexico we're going straight into the studio to work on more songs and get the whole CD done.
I get quite a few questions regarding recording techniques, equipment used..and so on. So for those of you that are interested in that boring shit I laid it all out here.
OFF TO MEXICO SHOW/PARTY - We weren't booking any shows so we can concentrate on the new CD and rehearse for our up-coming trip to Mexico. But we figured we better get a show in before we go as a type of dress rehearsal. So we booked a show at the Surf Cafe in Boca. It's a real comfortable place and right down the street. So come on out and help us celebrate our trip and see us off Deepset style!

 New 09-11-05 - Well Sammy Hagar and his Cabo Wabo Cantina have really gone all out. They're flying the four of us to beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to stay at a FIVE STAR deluxe resort and spa called the
Villa Del Palmar to compete in the finals, party and relax for four days! Free Cabo Wabo tequila...five star hotel...Deepset and Sammy Hagar...let's just say we're all bringing plenty of bail money!!!
The next two weeks Deepset will be hard at work putting together the best show/set we can. At first we we're only focused on winning Florida and getting to Mexico to party....but now we're focused on WINNING IT ALL!!! Look out fuckers...here cums DEEPSET!!

Off to Sammy Hagars Cabo Wabo Cantina for sound check and that nights show/battle where we school the other bands. Winners announced that night. |

 "...takes a weary slug of Jack Daniels...."you can't avoid your roots mate". A poignant quote from Jimmy Page to Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin from their album "The Song Remains The Same." This keeps coming to mind in the studio as of late.
In the course of writing and recording our new album we've realized, we simply can't avoid our roots.....METAL! Not the screamo stuff that masquerades as metal these days but real, Zeppelin / Sabbath / Maiden / Priest / Dio - Heavy Fucking Metal. It's in all of our blood. It's all Rick grew up playing... and Beast... shit, he was in Sabbath, need I say more? In the writing process it's always been a conscience effort to avoid comfortably sliding into "Metal" riffs due to how we all feel about the current.... can't sing, can't play their instrument, fake metal crap posers. We wanted to be different. Never-the-less, in the studio things have started to change rather dramatically from most of our previous work, we're writing some heavy shit and having so much fun we've decided to run with it. Rest assured....this will have nothing to due with screamo shit, it will however have lots to do with real metal....real singing and real playing, which Deepset has always been about. This will, of course, be a dramatic departure for anyone expecting songs like Lost or Hold My Soul on the new CD. It's just become clear, if you really want to write and perform from the gut....Jimmy Page was right, you can't avoid your roots.
